Beulah

The Beulah Charitable Trust was established in 2002 to support a Christian ministry on the farm Kweekkraal in the district of Riversdale. The ministry focuses on people in need of rest and restoration, bible teaching and youth camps.

The Trust provides self-catering accommodation on the farm, and has a special concern for those in fulltime Christian ministry. The 400 hectares include a game camp with a herd of rare Bontebok and offers enough space for people who need time away in the beauty of the environment.

There are two 1-bedroom cottages beside the swimming pool area and a 2-bedroom cottage in the game camp on the banks of a pond, and these are available from Friday to Friday, or for weekends. The 1-bedroom cottages provide luxurious accommodation for couples and the 2-bedroom cottage provides rustic, back-to-nature accommodation for up to 8 people.

The Trust has also renovated and refurbished one of the old barns on the farm, which is now used for Christian seminars, Church meetings and conferences, as well as two fodder silos, which have been thatched and are now used as a Sanctuary and Prayer Hut. Youth camp facilities include a big shed, ablution facilities and a team-building course.
